Preparing for Success at ACPHS
We are so excited for you to arrive on campus next month!
To help you on your journey, there are three key resources supporting your academic success. These key resources include your Program Director, Faculty Advisor, and Academic Class Advisor. Each of these individuals is ready to help you find your path to success at ACPHS. This group of advisors guides each student during their time at ACPHS in matters related to academic progression, career planning, transferrable skill building, and personal growth. Learn more about these resources below:
Advising at ACPHS:
Program Director: Your Program Director is responsible for ensuring that your chosen program of study aligns with your career goals. They will guide you throughout your journey and ensure that all students within the program are on the right track. Program Directors also assist with academic course planning, including transfer credits, adding minors, and applying to dual degree programs. If you have any questions as you prepare for the semester, please reach out to your Program Director.
Faculty Advisor: You will meet with your Faculty Advisor as you progress through your program. They can help you transition to college courses and assist with course options in later years. Your Faculty Advisor will serve as a mentor, helping you shift from academic to career goals. They can provide advice, mediate conversations with other faculty, help you navigate options, and find resources when needed.
Class Advisor: The Class Advisor is a Center for Student Success staff member assigned to each incoming student, staying with that student throughout their time at ACPHS. Your Class Advisor can help you develop skills such as time management, organization, learning strategies, study skills, and test-taking skills. They serve as a general sounding board for any questions or concerns you may have. You will work closely with your Class Advisor during your time at ACPHS.
Look out for our August Newsletter, which will be delivered to your ACPHS email in early August! If you have any questions related to Orientation between now and then, please reach out to the Orientation Team at Orientation@acphs.edu.
Title IX and Public Safety are two ACPHS resources that work to provide a safe learning environment for all students. Learn more about these offices here.
